“I am very passionate about my allotments… I have three! Any opportunity I will be up there, it is my haven, my sanctuary from the busy metropolitan world. You can’t take the country girl out of the urban woman.
In recent years I have rekindled my love of foraging. Any season I will take the opportunity to escape to the Kent countryside to gather wild garlic, or wild damsons, sloes and of course mushrooming and hunting down that elusive cep.
On one my of my allotments I have created a cutting garden. My love of flowers is evident throughout my work and I love giving them to friends, family, teachers (and WI speakers!)
In 2014, through word of mouth, I arranged flowers for several weddings. What started as favour-for-a-friend has evolved into a fledgling offshoot of my business. I now do large-scale flower arranging for special occasions and unique sympathy flowers – taking inspiration from my mother I like to research into the language and meaning of flowers and allow this to infuse my designs.
My aesthetic is natural and unconstrained, sourcing my flowers from local hedgerows, organically grown and picked at a flower farm in Kent and freshly picked from my allotment and garden.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss any floral projects via the website.”
